What Is A 'Treelady'?

Not a week goes by when we aren't asked about the Treelady name and its origin.

Treelady is a reference to Madeline Haines. Madeline was an artist, nurturer, and touchstone for many of us. A long time Tolkien fan, she was a bit dismayed
when we dubbed her the "tree lady." However, those who knew her could attest that an angry Madeline resembled the Last March of the Ents!

Madeline passed from our company in 1996. Although she collected public
accolades such as "Small Business Woman of the Year" and numerous print and media awards, she will best be remembered privately for her compassion, intensity, and sense of
humor. We hope to carry Madeline's example in our work at Treelady Studios.

Originally founded as a mastering studio, Treelady has grown from a one room project studio to a 6,000 square foot, three-studio recording, mixing, and mastering facility.
