Dave brings a wealth of tracking and mixing experience combined with a refined musical perspective as both a writer and producer.
Recent work includes vocal tracking and production for "Heavy Prey," the theme song from the major motion picture UNDERWORLD: Awakening, written by Geno Lenardo of Filter featuring Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf. Additionally, Dave has been involved in writing and pre-production with Flyleaf for an upcoming project, and engineering for Zao’s “Awake?” Other clients include A&M Octone Records, Lakeshore Music, Barsuk Records, Ferrett Music, and Rostrum Records. Notable past projects include mixing for Harmonix’s hugely successful ROCKBAND and Guitar Hero, preparing songs by The Killers, Fall Out Boy, Three Doors Down, and Smashmouth.
Dave is a contributor to Tape Op Magazine, having reviewed software applications such as Avid’s Sibelius and iZotope’s Alloy.
Dave received a Masters degree in composition from Duquesne University in 2009, also earning the honor of having his master’s thesis read by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Music he has composed has been used by ABC11-WTVD Raleigh, The Pittsburgh Pirates, the Wu Lords, and others. Prior to attending Duquesne he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music from the University of Pittsburgh.
A long time drummer and pianist, his Electronic/Pop solo project “The Worthy Ghosts” self-titled EP (Roarshack Records) received a 7.28/10 from BuzzGrinder.com and has sold copies in 14 different countries.
